Dr. Bert Epstein is a licensed psychologist specializing in individual and couples therapy and maintains a private practice in Petaluma, CA. With over 20 years experience as a therapist, as a graduate of Alliant University/California School of Professional Psychology, San Francisco Bay Area, he is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients.


About Me

Dr. Epstein completed a pre-doctoral internship at Counseling and Consultation Services (CCS) at The Ohio State University and an externship at The Beck Institute. He completed a post-doctoral residency at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Santa Clara, CA. Dr. Epstein obtained his BA from the University of California, Berkeley. 

Dr. Epstein worked for eight years at University Counseling and Psychological Services at Oregon State University. During that time he was Clinical Director for four years. Dr. Epstein has also presented on numerous occasions to national academic conferences, as well as publishing material on a variety of subjects in journals and web sites. 

Dr. Epstein's therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. He integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, he works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal goals they are committed to accomplishing.

In addition to his private practice in Petaluma, Dr. Epstein also is Manager, Student Health Services, Mental Health Programs at Santa Rosa Junior College.
